Planning and Zoning
This Ordinance shall be known as the Zoning Ordinance for the City of McEwen, Tennessee. The zoning map shall be referred to as the official zoning map of McEwen, Tennessee and all explanatory matter thereon is hereby adopted and made a part of this ordinance.

The McEwen Zoning and Planning Commission regularly meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 5:00 PM at McEwen City Hall located at 9586 Hwy 70 E McEwen, TN 37101. Anyone requesting to come before the zoning and planning commission must submit their request to the City Recorder by no later than the 4th Monday at 12:00 PM (noon) prior to the meeting month. This request may be submitted at McEwen City Hall, 9586 Hwy 70 E McEwen, TN 37101 or directly to City Recorder, Vickie Ethridge.
Zoning Ordinance
Sections 13-7-201 through 13-7-210 of the Tennessee Code Annotated empowers the City to enact a zoning ordinance and to provide for its administration enforcement, and amendment, and Whereas, The City Board deems it necessary, for the purpose promoting the public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the City to enact such an ordinance.
